I have one book that makes me lazy to continue reading. The book entitled The Maze Runner #4: The Kill Order. On the first day, I read this novel. Surprisingly, I was confused. ‘Who is Trina? And who about Alec and Mark? Are They have a relationship with Thomas?’. The Kill Order was explained 13 years ago before flare destroyed the world. Moreover, it also examined WCKD and started to discover a serum or medicine for flare. Generally, The Kill Order described how the world was before WCKD came.
The prolog describes Thomas and Teresa’s relationship as a best friend, but the writer was not explaining more about them. Furthermore, it explained how Thomas came to the glade, and WCKD erased Thomas’ memory. In comparison, the memory will be back when the grievers stank him. He only explained Thomas and Teresa before she began the mission to save everyone. Moreover, he was not described how Deedee became Teresa. It was different in the Fever Code.
One of the reasons I did not finish the book was a lot of dashing scenes, which made me tired. Hence, I also searched for some spoilers on the internet to know and find some enigma about the character and Deedee. In addition, this novel merely narrated to run, finding a place to be under protection from the virus, people who got effects by flares, and so on. A lot of suffering people because of flares and lost their families because epidemic, which made me cry and sad.
I assumed that the kid called Deedee was Thomas because I found an epilogue explaining the kid found in the tunnel two years after the tragedy. WCKD handed it over. Trina was not Deedee's mother, and I think she took care of Deedee and saved her life. Moreover, Trina saved her life, and she died with her friends. The sad ending that I have ever found in the novel.
Nonetheless, I was wrong. Deedee was Teresa but, in the epilogue, explained about Thomas. In conclusion, the kill order examined Teresa in the past before she changed her name from Deedee to Teresa. Hence, I know why she said “WCKD is good” and why she works for WCKD because they helped Teresa. In conclusion, The Maze Runners book series is one of the best novels I read this year.
